Joel Geist is an extremely versitile actor who defies typecasting. Joel started his comedy training with THE INSTITUTION, a Denver-based improv comedy troupe, which had originally hired him to do drawings of the cast. During his four years with THE INSTITUTION Joel studied dramatic and comedic acting at FRONT RANGE ACTING STUDIOS, one of the top acting schools in Colorado. While performing regularly with his troupe on stage, Joel also did various short films and local commercials.
Shortly after graduating high school a year early as valedictorian, Joel booked one of the lead roles in the feature film DANCING BEAR. After being picked up by two different agencies while still living in Colorado, Joel decided it was time to make the move to L.A. He recently co-produced and starred in the award-winning short film ACTION FIGURES. Recent credits include a starring role in the Discovery Channel real-crime drama GUILTY OR INNOCENT, a recurring role on NBC's WINDFALL, and the lead role in the supernatural thriller SEANCE. |
